Good clear sound.
Nice retro design.
Fantastic value for money.
Very easy to set up DAB stations.
Battery Life is poor.
LCD screen position a bit unhelpful.
The Acoustic Solutions Portal 2 DAB/FM is very easy to set up for the DAB stations - it just needs a touch on the auto-tune button and it locks on to the 80 currently available channels in my area instantly. There is a good clear stereo sound from the small speakers and a nice retro design in general. It comes at a very good price at £60. It is also nice to have the FM receiver in case your favourite station is yet to have a DAB version. Or if your reception for DAB is not great.
That said, the batteries run out pretty quickly (6x 'C') - so it is best to leave on mains if possible. The LCD screen is clear and smooth scrolling but it is on top of the set, meaning you have to move the set to adjust or see the name of the track/station. These are minor grumbles however. I am really happy with my new gadget.
