Lightweight and easy to use for all ages - works exceptionally well only model to lay really flat - we have had for around six years - now upgrading to DC03. Absoloute with Zorb.
Bad Points
Flex length on hose could be a metre longer for stairs to enable use without attachment which can be awkward - but is only bad Point,other models are heavier and root technology not worth the extra weight verus any improvement on collecting dust.
General Comments
Overall the Dyson DC03 is the best cleaner we have used in nearly thirty years and suits a house with carpets. Lighter weight will need a little more care for the heavy handed. Technically no good for curtains, see other models with airflow tools.

This is the reason I opted for the Dyson DC03. It's a mean looking machine, but very stylish and innovative. The handle on this Dyson can be separated from the main body to use as the 'hose and wand'.
