General Comments
Well to start with I really liked this phone, it's compact, different backlights, predictive text. I bought it five months ago...since then I have changed my opinion. The battery life is TERRIBLE, runs flat after one call, freezes during text messages, and then it is sooo fragile, I dropped it from sitting position onto grass..now when I turn it on it has a 1cm thick line on the screen.

I think you might have a dud battery there. I've had my phone for about two weeks now and went away for the past two days. I made about 6 calls, and send and received about 20 SMS. The battery is still half charged. I'd get in contact with someone about the warranty and get them to replace the battery.
