General Comments

I bought a 2000 Seat Ibiza 1.4 si City Car. I thought it was great, until it started to break down on a regular basis. Funny thing is a few months later my best friend bought one and had similar problems. Not just little problems either.

Firstly the breaks gave up, no warning they would just fail once in a while. Then the gear box died. Then the engine power assistance died. The air con never worked as the outside temp gage gave up on the first day. Fuel consuption with air con on was awful.

Given the car had a 3 year full waranty the dealer was very unhelpful, so I went to another dealer who was equally unhelpful. Services were expensive and quality was poor.

Funnily enough the dealer said they weren't going to provide a warranty on the electics on future models. I expect fixing all the problems was costing too much.
