I guess the only downfall of this cd would be that if you are looking for the exact same Dre you heard on The Chronic in '92, you're not going to find him. I consider this a plus but you may have a different interpretation
As always when Dre's on the boards the beats are slamming. Dre combines a little old school funk with a twist of hardcore basslines to create his signature sound. In case you can't tell Dre may not be the best on the mic, but with all star ghost writers and guest appearances on nearly every track it is definately made up for. Almost every joint off this lp holds one or more classic bars or verses. With Dre only putting an album out every 7 years you may have to wait a long time to hear from him again so I suggest you get this cd.
