plays even the most scratched DVD's I have
Bad Points
no onboard DTS decoder, audible errors on some VCD's, zoom control oversizes at its lowest setting
General Comments
not a bad player, but little to distinguish itself from it's cheaper cousin available at Sams for $120, both have sonic defects when playing vcd files that were made with audio synchronization, the synch marks cause high frequency notes or dips in volume, other material played fine

My DVD player is a Toshiba SD-2815 (5 disc changer) if this would help anyone. I'm real close to asking for a refund. THis is just really not worth all the frustration.
