General Comments

After owning Nokia's for the past 7 years I though I'd try this Siemens SL65. It looked great, seemed to have some decent features (except for the lack of Bluetooth) and seemed a bargain being free on a cheap off-peak tariff.

My biggest mistake was not trying the phone in a store first. As soon as it had charged I found it fiddly to slide the keypad out with my large fingers. Even worse was trying to use the 1, 2 and 3 buttons at the top of the pad. The screen was too close to them.

Onto the screen. Despite being brighter than the screen on my old 3650 it was too cluttered and was too slow at updating when using the camera.

The battery life on mine was terrible. I expected it to drop fairly quickly with all the usage for the first time such as filling the phone book, trying out the features, etc but after 2 hours it needed charging again. The following morning it was at half charge after just being on standby all night.

Lots of little things niggled me too. The main one being the key functions in texting. 0 for puntuation and 1 for a space, the opposite to Nokia. Maybe all Siemens are like this so previous Siemens users will be used to it.

After two days I packed it up and returned it getting myself a Nokia 7610 in its place.

It wasn't for me.
