Good audio quality. Smooth playback. FM tuner is excellent. Voice recording microphone sensitive enough to record quality audio from a distance. Navigational controls very easy to use. Compact.
No USB jack on device, need separate cord (included, but more to carry around). Cannot move files around using device alone, must lay out in comuter before downloading. Stock headphones lack bass response (try plugging it into a car audio cassette adapter or a stereo to judge the true quality of this device).
I received the 512mb version of the SanDisk Digital Audio Player mp3 player for Christmas, and must say I am overall rather pleased. The audio quality is excellent and the device is also fairly loud. Navigational controls are fairly simple to use, however the joystick is a little small when considering it functions as both volume and track advance controls. The FM tuner is great as is the voice recording mic, up to 35min of quality audio on this device. My only gripe is with the extra cable you need to attach the player to a USB port and the junky stock headphones which come with it. One good things I stumbled upon however is that you do not need a driver for the device, simply plug it in (tried it on a MAC and PC). Additionally, the device does function as a flash drive.
