Bad Points
Occasionally an interrupted signal depending on whether you've accidently twisted the earphone leads as they double as an antenna.
General Comments
When I tried to buy a Pure DAB-1000 just after christmas it was the only unit that had sold out everywhere (except the odd retailer on the internet trying to charge £160.00 +!!). Found out that although the earphones double as an antenna I still get a very good signal (90 - 100%) when I changed the earphones for a direct lead into my speakers to enjoy a slightly louder sound!! Takes 3 AA batteries and does give the full 16 hours of play time. In the box you will also find a power adapter for use around the house (so when plugged into stereo speakers it won't cost you the earth.)
Overall a sound buy, (PURE also make the Ministry of Sound model).

Overall I could recommend this radio for stronger signal areas, but otherwise, you may wish to consider another radio, if like me, you live in a poorer served area for DAB.

PS No comparison with Pure DAB 1000 in terms of build. And 2aa's giving 9/10 hrs is not as good as 3aa's and about15 hrs for the Pure.
