Good Points

The Gamo R77 4" Combat revolver functions like a real one, you load it the same way as you load a real revolver. None of this interchangeable disc stuff. Grips are non slip and very durable. The gun will withstand being tossed 10 metres with minor cosmetic damage.

Bad Points

Having to load it every 8 shots is a drag but that's what you pay for - the realistic action. It produces a fair bit of noise which i call a bad point because where i live there are many nosy neighbors who are waiting to get me sprung.

General Comments

The Gamo R77 4" Combat revolver is good quality for its price range. It is good for shooting pepsi cans but it won't go through a tin can (but that is typical of all co2 repeating air pistols). You get about 9 full loaded magazines out of one 12g cartridge (which is 72 shots). Therefore if you are looking for realisim in a C02 revolver, the R77 should be one of your top choices.

I agree on the fact that it's looking very realistic, but also that it produces quite some noise. But that doesn't really bother me, because when I go shooting, I cross the bridge into the port, and there's nobody who's complaining! :)

Why worry about the noise you are firing a pistol, my R77 4 will go through a beer can and embed the pellet in the wood back stop at 10 mts for the money I think it's a great gun

I have shot with my friends r77 4' and it is not very powerful compared to my Crosman 357 6' revolver. My crosman goes easily through Pepsi cans, I have had three cans in the line and I shot trough all three from one a meter distance and with no problem! My crosman is accurate and one of the most powerful co2 guns. It also has lots of metal parts like all inside parts and rear plates. Only the sights and barrel cover are plastic which is good. My crosman was also cheaper than Gamos.
