Clip does not accommodate pellets as advertised
The Daisy Powerline 617x is a nice CO2 pistol. My first one. Only problem is the clip. The clips that came with gun did not accommodate pellets like advertised. The fit was much to tight for pellets. At first I just reamed them through 3 or 4 times to get them loose enough to be expelled out the barrel. Otherwise, the pellet would stay stuck in the clip and the co2 would just blow back and the barrel would pop up at the hinge where you insert the clip. What I wound up doing was getting a drill and reaming the holes out slightly to just make the fit snug enough to hold the pellet but loose enough to let it be expelled out the barrel.
BB's are slightly smaller than pellets to protect barrel's that are rifled. Consequently the ammo clip holes are slightly to small for pellets. Now I don't want to use the reamed clips for bb's because the enlarged holes throw off the alignment of the bb coming out of the clip. I'm afraid the bb's will hit the inner lip of the barrel when being shot out and screw up the barrel.
Right now I'm looking for some new spare clips that are unreamed so that I can use them for bb's and then I can just use the reamed clips for pellets. Anyone got any idea where I can get some new spare clips?
