It's a portable Genesis! It just doesn't get any better. The backlit color screen is a plus too, as it's 2004 and Nintendo is just now realizing that this is a good idea.
Bad Points
Well, its huge for a handheld, and has terrible battery life...But considering its an entire Genesis, this is kinda moot.
General Comments
The Sega Nomad is probably the best handheld ever released. Certainly the most powerful for a long time.
It plays all Genesis games, minus a few REALLY early ones, and ones that require a special controller in the Player 1 port.
Yeah, it has terrible battery life, but hey, that's the price you pay for portability, right? And besides, with the ability to hook the Nomad up to a TV and connect a second player, you have a full-fledged Genesis too!
But unfortunately, everyone has realized how cool this system was, and it now commands a pretty premium on auction sites (anywhere from $40 for a barebones system with no accessories or games to $100 for a system with a few good games and some nice accessories). I got mine for a steal at $5 though, so just look around.
