I have the 25 caliber and use it for nutria control. I shoot hundreds of nutria per year and this is the airgun to use. In case your not familiar with nutria they are large invasive south american rodents (up to a meter long 41 inches) they are about the size of a beaver or raccoon. Anyway, the .25 cal is ten times better than the .22 cal for this purpose. Yes, I own both. Accurate for 30 yards. Deadly for 75. Crow magnum pellets are best.
Very hard on scopes. Don't bother just shoot open sight. Breaks bolts several times a year.
Rattles sights loose. Make sure you always check allen bolts and tighten before each use. This is a heavy gun and you need to realize that if you are going to hike with it.
Overall, the Beeman Kodiak .22 Caliber is a great gun. Not for target practice. This is a hunting gun for large rodents (rabbits, raccoons, possums, etc.) Will go through both sides of a five gallon bucket at 30 yards. Accurate without a scope.
