Good Points

Great value for money. Looks nice. It can handle lots of formats including Mpeg CD's. Sound quality seems good to me. Richer Sounds seem to think it's good and I value their opinion.


Bad Points

Picture quality is slightly disappointing but this could be my TV. Quite a noisy whir as it runs. The TV won't work if the dvd is in standby so you have to keep it switched on constantly. Can't seem to get rid of the screensaver of the dolphins which is quite annoying! I've selected screensaver off but it doesn't make any difference. It also doesn't seem to move smoothly on some dvd's from one menu item to another. Instead there is a brief moment when it has a black screen...this doesn't bother me much but some people may find this annoying. The remote is cheap looking but does the job.


General Comments

I've only had this a few days and have already found quite a few bad points. Having said all this I would still recommend it to others, particularly those on a budget.

    JB, The interference with your television is caused by the macrovision signal from your dvd player (I had the same issue). If you go into the hack menu (eject the cd tray, press set up, then next,prev,next, prev) you can disable macrovision - simply set 'ver' to 4000. Ryan.
