General Comments

I had taken up an insurance policy with Go Travel UK. On returning from my holiday in TURKEY I had to make a claim due to a Hospital stay which cost 310 GBP. I put in my claim and sent all the relevent documentation to them and the claim was started. A few weeks later I received a letter asking for documentation I had sent to them I called them and told them this and this was the last letter I had from them.
After a number of phone calls I was told I had been paid. I was also told the claim was being sent to the loss ajuster. In the end I had to complain to the financal ombusman regarding this company before I was sent my cheque which came 3 days ago.
I would not use GO Travel UK for any type of insurance due to the 4 months to pay out such a small cliam. I have never been told the reason for the ammount of time taken nor have I had any letters from them

    lIKEWISE

    In November I lodged a claim. So far nothing and no response to my 3 letters.

    Now pursuing with Ombusman

    I d never use again

    You may find out like i did that you will get no help from the ombusman as the insurance company thay use is based in the Irish republic and is not coverd by the UK Ombusman

    I will if necessary pursue with both the UK and Irish Insurance Authorities.
    The situation cant be legal, ie selling a product without honouring the deal. Must be covered somewhere in the legal process.

    Got a really good quote for them through confused.com but will not now choose them.
