Good Points

Even more detail, realism and features than the previous Championship Managers. Very addictive.

Bad Points

Nothing in the actual game, but network play is frustrating to set up due to lack of advice in the manual.

General Comments

Football Manager 2005 is by far the most realistic and addictive management game ever. From the moment you start the game you will find yourself encapsulated in the fascinating world of football, whether it be in the Premiership, Seria A or la Liga. There are plenty of new features, but unlike Championship Manager four they haven't slowed the game down, in fact, Football manager is probably faster than any of the previous games. The new features include manager comments, an effective 2D view, an improved data editor and even more detail in the players profile (including photos), and the many different clubs. All this adds up to make sure you never turn the game off. I would definitely recommend this to any football fan.

Football Manager 2005 is by far the best Football Management sim ever created. People believe Champ Manager 5 is the best because it is the sequel to the truly memorable Champ Manager series, but Football Manager is the TRUE sequel. Sports Interactive created Champ and when they parted with Eidos, they made another game (FM 2005). Using the best parts of the Champ series they have created a game in which Eidos will never be able to contend with with their 'new' Champ Manager series without sports interactive. The 2 games themselves are similar from first impressions but all people who have been playing and following the past games will no doubt appreciate Football Manager more. All the past Champ Manager games plus Football Manager are serious games and are made to be realistic, and although I think Eidos are trying to do that with Champ Manager 5 sooner or later the 'new' champ manager series will be no more special than management games like total club manager and lma manager while Football Manager will be leading for years and years to come. I totally recommend football manager to anyone BUT I've noticed that people who enjoy the playing the games sort of football games shold stick with Fifa and Pro Evolution as they will find managing boring but I couldn't find it more fascinating.
