Affordable, accurate, extremely fun to shoot.
spongy trigger, could use an upgraded scope.
I bought a Beeman Silver Bear 1783 for my sons birthday.
Graduated him from the Daisy Red Ryder he outgrew along time ago. Even though this gun would be considered a youth gun, I think I like shooting it more than he does. It is exteremly accurate after you get use to the trigger, but I think this helps children learn some good skills, such as sqeezing the trigger and not just pulling it. You can shoot 5 shots easily at 30 yards inside a dime with a little practice. If you upgraded the scope to even a low powered zoom scope I believe accuracy would even be greater. All in all I have to say this is a neat little rifle, I wish these were out when I was young.. Great plinker, and even some varmit action can be acheived with this rifle.
