Good Points

Reassurance of quality service via advertising.
Ease of using service/no claim forms etc.


Bad Points

Actual visit to hospital unwelcoming.
Lack of consistency between friendliness shown on television and actual experience.


General Comments

I have had need to use my Bupa Health Insurance on a number of occassions over the last year and my contact with the call centre to authorise treatment has been fantastic. Staff have always been friendly and reassuring and I have been impressed with the payment of my bills, which has been a smooth process.
The only real complaint I have, which is probably the most important part in my treatment is coldness of the Bupa hospital staff. Although I did not have to wait to be seen when I arrived, I was just as quick to be seen out. After a 5 minute consultation then a goodbye from the doctor, I stood in front of the counter, ignored by the receptionist who could clearly see I was unsure of what to do next.
Bupa do a great job at reassuring but when it comes to treatment(which is the most stressful time) a small smile would help the medicine go down.
