To the reviewer who wrote that one must have some native intelligence to run the Sansui VRDVD4005, and that it has a long manual written 'in English' I must say that what is wrong with this 'complex' machine isn't always the operator. I purchased my first one and it fried itself. The second one I purchased doesn't play anything but SP - or - 2 hours of recording time. And, if you buy it from SEARS like I did, don't expect them or the manual to provide you with tech support help.
