Good Points

Good Graphics
You feel like you are part of a film rather than a game
Good Storyline
Top Artificial Intelligence

Bad Points

It's set on boring Earth
Not as exciting as the original
The torch only stays on for about 5 seconds (annoying)
Some weapons are useless
Feild of view seems smaller than in Halo 1 (as if your constantly zoomed in)
Some enemies are annoyingly hard to kill

General Comments

Halo 2 continues the story of Master Cheif's battle against the Covenant after the destruction of the ring in Halo. However, this time the Covenant have discovered Earth and take the fight to the surface.

It's pretty much business as usual with Halo 2. The graphics are pretty breath taking, although the new weapons are a bit rubbish. The standard machine gun from Halo has gone and been replaced by two new ones - one only fires in 3 round bursts but has a scope, while the other is fully automatic but tends to wander upwards as you fire. Very annoying. You can now hold two weapons at the same time, but because this stops you from throwing grenades at the same time, it seems a little pointless.

On the plus side, the troops that help you are now more effective at killing enemies so you dont need to be as accurate with your shooting!

To be honest, while playing through the first missions of Halo 2, I was a little bored and just wished something exciting would happen. Maybe since we were all blown away by Halo 1 all those years ago we've become a little more demanding from our games. I'll give it time as I'm only half way through, but the signs are that its not as good as the first. Still, it's better than any other console based shoot em up availible.
