13 albums on a standard minidisc in ATRAC 48 mode and still sound great! Battery life - Wow and then some! Easy simple CD burn.
Standard setting of the Sound EQ is not great - use the custom function to define your own preference - makes a big difference I found. Using the SonicStage software takes a little bit of getting use to when transfering your existing PC music library into it, ready to copy to the player; though could be me being simple!
Whilst the availability of the 1Gb discs may be a pain to some the popularity of the existing mini-discs is a big plus for the Sony MZ-NH600. Their cheapness also means that if a disc gets damaged you're not looking at an expense repair like the iPod HD drive unit. Battery life is truly amazing - I use rechargeable AA batteries and still acheive 20+ hours.
