Don't Know
Still Don't Know
I bought FarCry and read loads about it, but was really disapointed when I tried to play it. It wouldn't install! It just kept giving me the alert "cannot find d:/game.cab." I did some research and it turns out that the game cannot be installed if you have a certain brand of cd/dvd drive. I had an LG cd-rw drive and was desperate to play Farcry, so splashed out on an NEC DVD-RW drive. It was all going well until I got the same message again. The drive I bought was also one of the 'incompatible' drives! My advice - ring the publishers to find out if your CD/DVD drive is compatible before parting with any cash.
NOTE
It is apparently some kind of anti-piracy method, so certain drives with burning capabilities are made incompatible.
