Seated quickly as restaurant was empty
Poor service. Very unfriendly waitress. Many items of food off the menu (including Mozarella which is quite poor for a pizza resaturant!) long wait for food. Dessert tiny....
We decided to go to Pizza Express as we wanted something a little better than the average pizza experience. We waited for four minutes before anyone came over to seat us. The table had not been wiped properly. I ordered a Mozzarella salad for starters and my partner a Bruschetta. The Bruschetta arrived and the waitress then told me that the Tomato and Mozzarella salad was not available as they had run out of Mozzarella!. We ordered a main course of pizza with spicy chicken. It looked as if they had scraped the bottom of the chicken container as all we had were tiny scraps and mostly spice powder. Desserts took an age to order: the waitress came back after 10 minutes to tell me that they had run out of Mascarpone cheese. She then went and took an order for six at the adjacent table, before she went back and told the cook of my second choice for dessert. My partner had meanwhile been sitting with her dessert waiting for mine to arrive. I would not eat at Pizza Express again, ever.
