Lots of choice, heavily discounted prices
Customer service non existent, untidy, rarely have what you want in your size.
TK Maxx is great if you're on a tight budget. They have all of the major fashion labels at really low prices. This is probably down to everything being either out of season or a second quality garment, but unless you write for a fashion magazine, you aren't really going to realise this. The second thing that hits you about TK Maxx though, is that even though it's really cheap, it looks like a jumble sale. All the clothes are hung on long rails and everything is always mixed up (sizes, types of clothes etc) or just left lying on top of the rail because someone pulled out the wrong size. Also, you'll often uncover a really nice item of clothing only to find it's too big/small. A word of warning: you'll never find the thing in your size! When the good stuff appears, it tends to disappear instantly as all the other people rush to get it first. Staff wise, I can't remember ever asking a sales assistant for help because a) there don't appear to be any; and b) because you can pretty much find your way around by yourself. TK Maxx is so cheap though, you won't mind wandering around for hours.
