General Comments
We have just arrived back from Sandals Regency Golf Resort and Spa and have really mixed feelings about the place. The original buildings around the main pool are tired, we booked two grandlux beachfront honeymoon rooms for ourselves and our friends, we were shown into rooms that resembled store rooms for old, damp furniture, the bed top sheets were damp, the floors were dirty, damp walls and light switches and a smell that turned your stomach, we complained and asked to be moved, the answer was that they were full and only two rooms were available, we looked at them but they were as bad as the ones we had, we finished up paying an extra £800.00 per room to upgrade to two suites on the newer properties, our holiday then, after four days began, we tended to stay at the upper pool, the lower pool could get quite rowdy at times.
The food was pretty good at most of the restaurants, the bars were mostly ok, and the place needs bringing up to date it's a bit seventies.
The good bits were the staff, so happy all the time, and genuinely pleased to see and chat to you at anytime, we had a birthday while we were there and they pulled the stops out for us.
We liked the place once in our good rooms, but sandals is overpriced, jaded, and if it wasn't for the staff it would have been miserable.
