Without doubt, one of the best comedies of recent years. Funny, scary and genuinely sweet.
Er... there aren't any. This is British filmmaking at its best.
Shaun Of The Dead - The makers of this film described it as 'a romantic comedy, with zombies' and that's exactly what this is. It is a wonderfully sweet and extremely funny romantic comedy about an average guy called Shaun just trying to win back his girlfriend, Liz. The day he tries to do this just so happens to be the day the dead decide to walk the Earth again and so Shaun has to deal with his feelings for Liz at the same time as he's dealing with an army of zombies. All he wants to do is get the girl, save his mum and his mates and still have time for a pint at his local! Easily one of the best films of this year, this is a laugh out loud, wonderfully original comedy from two of the most talented people working in the British film industry today: Edgar Wright (director/writer) and Simon Pegg (writer/star). This is the must-see of all must-sees this year. Forget Dawn of the Dead, it's all about Shaun.
