The weight is just right to carry afield, sturdy but not heavy.
No need for a fancy walnut stock in a field rifle, so no worries about the finish.
The action is smooth and simple.
The build quality is fine. A no nonsence sturdy working rifle.
The muzzle is threaded for any .5x20 supressor.
I only wish for a built in pressure gauge in case one loses count of shots fired.
I find the BSA TechStar to be a fine working field rifle, the action is smooth and the trigger is fine for my use but it is adjustible to taste.
I have had no problem using a handpump.
While the stock is not fine walnut I would not want a field rifle that I had to worry about the wood.
Using Flitz polish will bring the bluing to a high shine if desired and also protects the finish from acidic fingerprints.
It can be somewhat loud without a supressor but with one all one hears is the twang of the hammer spring and pellet impact.
I find the accuracy is excellent and it has power to spare.
All in all I don't believe you can find a better value for the money rifle.
