Debenhams told us our leather sofa would be ready to be delivered in 8 weeks it took 15 and was faulty. Debenhams customer service is an absolute joke!


General Comments

We ordered the Max leather sofa in July from Debenhams Direct. we were told we would be contacted in 8 weeks to organise delivery. 8 weeks went past I called them to see what was going on. They told me that there was a shortage of material (not enough cows) we were given another date.

To cut the story short on the 15th week we finally took delivery of the sofa.

The sofa when unpacked after the delivery men from Lancashire left (debenhams told me they were from Peterborough) had a line running across it.

I called a week later to say that the line across the sofa was unacceptable to be told that due to the blue cross sale they were very busy(loads more clients wanting this sofa)

I am currently waiting to hear. I feel that it is only fair that the next sofa ready should be delivered to me. After all I have been waiting since July. Debenhams however cannot say anything. They only correspond with the supplier by fax. They send a fax the supplier ignores the fax and no one calls me.

I am calling watchdog.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM THEY ARE INEPT.
