Good Points
Metallica at (my opinion) the TOP of their game. The jam sessions following intermissions.

Bad Points
It eventually ends:( ... and no sanitarium.

General Comments
Let's open this up with some useful info, the songs and a brief description of each: jam session:

So what - (originally by Anti-nowhere league in '81) an extremely vulgar song (Eminem embarrassed to sing vulgar), but done in such a way you don't care and just rock with it.

Creeping Death -( Ride the lightning) a quick pace hard hitting song about Jews leaving Egypt(what?).

Sad but True - (Black album, not Metallic as was made up by the record label as a name) If there was one song that that sums up the sound of Metallica this is it, with a combination of a drum that hits you like sledge hammer and a guitar with a tone so deep and dark you'll be hearing it 10 minutes after the end of the song. You will be enveloped at this point, don't worry it's normal.

Ain't my Bitch - (Load) This ones a little lacking in the well thought out lyrics department, but gets the job done with a groovy guitar bite.

Hero of the day - (Load) This is a little strange, not exactly what you expect from the 'tallica boys, but it is pretty cool. The song is combo of cool down-tempo laid back rhythm with bursts of raw power that reminds you who, exactly, you're listening to. It's about people looking for heroes in the media, when they should be looking around the for heroes in real life.

King Nothing - (Load) This is probably the highlight of the load album, with cool guitaring and sweet vocals to go with them it's one you'll remember for a while. This song is about power at all costs, and the result is also made clear.

ONE-(...and Justice For all) The title says it all, the number one song ever laid down on record. With extremely well thought out lyrics, unbelievable guitar and drums and awesome stage show intro you will watch this more than a couple of times before the grandeur sets in. It's based on the 1971 movie Billy Got His Gun. The whole concept of living without life is explored in such a way you get chills.

Fuel-(REload) at the time of performance this song is just in the early stages, however you may enjoy this version better than the studio one (I do.) It's quick, hard, and heavy, nuff said. It's about living life too fast. Bass/guitar doodle: starts out with newsted (bass) playing a down-tempo doodle, then eventually is joined by Hammet (lead guitar) and moves into Orion, followed by sanitarium and fades into the next track.

Nothing Else Matters - (Black album) A classic in very sense of the word, this version is the best I've ever seen. The vocals aren't done the best as possible, however the explosion of raw power, energy and anger at a world lost at the end so passionate and believable you lose yourself in it. The point is to live your life the way you see fit, no one can tell you otherwise because they're not you and never will be.

Untill it Sleeps - (load) this song is a mix of Nothing else matters and hero of the day. It fits well in the line-up and detracts nothing from the show.
For Whom the Bell Tolls - (Lightning) this is extremely well done. Awesome song, with a stage presentation that absolutely works. You'll love it. It's said to be based on a Hernest Hemingway story.

Wherever I May Roam - (Black album) This is a hard hitting, well paced, song that tells the age old story of life on the road. Many will remember this song for it's solo.

Fade to Black - (lightning) Why Metallica didn't receive artist of the millennium award for this song alone is beyond me. The song is slow, fast, quiet, loud, hard, and soft all at the same time does each so well you're brought to tears. It's about the mind set of a man dying, and the eventual acceptation and even welcoming of the end.

Kill/Ride Medley- This is a 15 minute plus tour of the two most influential thrash metal albums of all time the songs sampled are (K for kill, L for lightning) Ride the lightning(L), No Remorse(L), Hit the Lights (K), Four Hoursemen (K), Seek and Destroy(K), and Fight Fire With Fire(L)

Disc Two Jam session:

Last Caress - (first performed by Danzig in 1980) this is quick, cool, and offensive all in one(YAY!.) I got no idea what is going on in this song... except infanticide and rape.

Master of Puppets - (Puppets) The is the title track of puppets, it shortened up a bit (about 1/2) and is quite well done. It's about how drugs eventually became your master and downfall (this coming from a band nicknamed alcoholica)
Enter Sandman - (Black album) Ahhh, yes the song that made Metallica a household name. Most 'tallica fans have heard this song many times they lose interest. Nuh-uh, not here, it is performed in such a way you would pay the admission fee for this song alone. The end (and normally most boring part) of this song is done in such a way you NEVER see it coming, I repeat NEVER.

Am I Evil? - (first done by Diamond head in 1980, check 'em out if you can find any CDs) Kirk Hammet proclaims this as the most evil of evil songs, he ain't kidden. It's about the Salem witch trials and the wrongful murder of a mother (done in the name of god, of course...), now it's the sons time for revenge. Dark and heavy, sweeeet!

Motor breath - (kill 'em all) now we find ourselves at the end. Metallica has made a point to finish their shows with song, seeing as how the just kicked a** for two hours straght it's amazing they can play one of the fastest songs in their library. They finsh with this to leave you with a final impression, you got one life: LIVE IT!!!!

Now, you're wondering "could it be that good?" yes, is it perfect? no, Hetfield's voice wavers here and there, but never becomes annoying. And, the amount of foul language used may put off some people, but then again you can't hold it against them. If at any point you are even intrigued by the band do yourself a favor and pick this up, and if you enjoy (you will, don't worry) it then you can pick up a few of their CDs and lose yourself in the music.
