Integration with PC Products,
3rd Party Applications can be added.
Keypad small and a bit clumsy to use,
Supplied case covers all phone,
Quality of pictures via camera not great - Nokia 7650 fairs better,
USB Connection slow,
Ringtones not very loud,
Battery goes down quick, even when not making calls,
Backlight comes on when any key is pressed when the phone keypad is locked - since it could stay on for 10/15 seconds, this will drain much needed battery time.
Whilst the Orange SPV phone is feature-rich when it comes to multimedia, I think the feature aspect has totally taken over the phone and the basic features that are needed in a mobile phone are perhaps lost.
The keypad is quite small - it's too easy to catch the wrong key (very annoying when writing an SMS). The navi-buttons are also clumsy. When selecting to move left or right, the button is so small that you end up moving down too.
The menu system is easy to follow and configurable - the Home Screen is a good feature. However, the menu system can be clunky to use, for example, the phone sometimes takes a few seconds to respond when moving from one menu to another.
I think the SPV has so many features and had the potential to be a real winner but I think that it really is let down by the battery, useability and quality issues.
I am considering exchanging mine for the Nokia 7650. Whilst the Nokia is larger, heavier and more expensive, it does have a better build quality and the software/menuing is not prone to the problems the SPV exhibits.
