Good Points

Well situated 100 metres across shrub land from beach. Plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Small 76 room hotel.

Bad Points

This hotel has very recently opened after a refurbishment programme. It should NOT have started to take clients. There is no Spa or Fitness Room. The pool has two sets of steps at either end with no markings on the edges easy to scrape yourself. No depth markings and a very dangerous cascade of tiled steps up to a plunge pool - potentially very dangerous. 24 sun beds only and no sun umbrellas. Building work and the associated noise on going.

General Comments

We have never been to the Caribbean before and were looking forward to our first visit at Reduit Beach, Rodney Bay Village Inn and Spa. The deal was 9 days all inclusive at the Village Inn and Spa. Having never done an all inclusive holiday we set off with great expectations and the thought of spa facilities particularly appealed.
There is no Spa and Fitness room and as they were working on it intermittently - I don't think it will be ready for quite a while.
The newly refurbished pool has many potentially dangerous features. The lack of sun beds and NO umbrellas was totally unsatisfactory and despite mentioning on the first day nothing was done - they are coming was the answer given.
The poolside bar is the only one as the one above the restaurant Emeralds is full of junk and not any where near ready. Thankfully there are plenty of bars a short distance away, especially as the pool bar closes at 11.00pm. The fact we were on an all inclusive package it was somewhat annoying that we often found ourselves having to go out.
The restaurant arrangements for both breakfast and evening meal need urgent attention lots of little things- 2 toasters = 8 slices of toast only could be cooked at one time. 1 chef with 2 small frying pans to cook eggs or omelettes - always a long queue.
Had to book an evening meal timeslot, despite quite often buffet style - frequently told 7.00pm was the only time available even when booking after an early breakfast before a whole day trip.
Quality and variety of food left a lot to be desired. We were forced to eat out twice as we refused to eat at 7.00pm.
This resort hotel is just NOT ready and there appears to be lots to be done around the hotel both poolside and in terms of the rooms and other facilities. In my opinion it will be a long before this hotel can be the Village Inn and Spa.
The beach is close and is reached in 2 mins where sun beds can be hired for $10 EC per day however there are no umbrellas - this end of Reduit Beach does have plenty of trees that give shade which helps as there are no umbrellas pool side.
