Fabulous Food
The largest economy leg room
Friendly Crew
Poor in-flight entertainment (this is being changed though)
I thought the whole Air New Zealand experience was great. Apart from the transit lounge clearance procedures at LAX (this is the fault of the US Govt.) I have not found a more comfortable way to travel to NZ from the UK. I have made this journey more than 20 times and have chosen to use Air NZ for the vast majority.
The economy seating provides a valuable extra inch for ALL passengers and the foot rest was a nice comfort addition.
The food is wonderful. If you are sick of 'airline' meals, Air NZ really is for you. The menus are designed by world renowned chefs and taste like real food. Especially the Lamb casserole!!
The crew are friendly, but not overly intrusive. Perhaps they could offer a few more in-flight snacks, but the truth is we all eat too much on planes anyway and it is better to eat lightly and feel refreshed on arrival than pig out and feel like you're the walking dead.
