General Comments
Bought my Honda EU2000i a month ago. After starting it up and running for several minutes, I immediately put it into storage in my garage. I started it up the other day to show my friend how quiet it was, it started perfectly and ran quiet. However, it also spewed gas out the bottom of the unit. Running for 5 minutes caused it to leak about a cup of gas. When I called the dealer, they indicated that several of their customers were having the same problem. Apparently Honda may be having problems with some of these units.

While I'm impressed with the design and performance, I also had a problem with gas leaking from an overflowing bowl, during the first tank of gas. I took it apart and did find very fine grit in the bowl. Evidently, they didn't use fine enough screens on the fill and output sides of the fuel tank. Considering how new and clean the fuel I put in was, I'm guessing that the grit was original manufacturing debris. I cleaned things up and also added an in-line fuel filter, that I'm betting will avoid the problem in the future.
