Good Points

dv in/out; s-video; mini plug out to both video and left and right audio.

Bad Points

lower quality resolution (I mean for a dv cam; because dv picture is mostly better than a hi-8, compact vhs, or anything else not dv)

General Comments

Honestly, when I bought the JVC GR-D33 there was a strange problem with the playback. After I recorded and tried playing it back, the screen was pixelating like when you fast forward; only it was at normal speed. It was pretty odd so hopefully when I replace it I can write a better review, but I was just curious to see if anyone else had this problem. It was probably just an unlucky defect I got and I hope I can write a better review later.

i have got more or less the same problem!
i have owned the camcorder for less than 6 months and the playback is awful now!
it is very glitchy and the sound keeps going, luckily i have got alot of warranty on this product so i am going to take it back to the shop and see if i can get it exchanged do not wanna wait 28day plus for a repair!
i am hoping i can manage to get an exchange and if they do not have that model i will try and get something else!
