Excellent alarm system, very very very loud. Make sure you dont set it off on yourself, you will get a shock. Actually if you set it off on yourself in the mornings it wakes you up better than coffee. Highly recommended.

I fitted this Toad Ai606 Thatcham Category I Car Alarm system to my vauxhall astra mk2, and my god has it detered the thieves, it is so flaming loud it blows your head off. I suppose its doing its job really.

Although this isn't strictly a comment on your review of the ai606, I noticed you self installed the alarm in to a mark 2 astra.
I'm thinking of self installing it into a mk 3 astra and was wondering if you came across any problems? I'm a reasonably competent diy-er and am ok with electrics, but do you have to know the guts of the Astra to do a good install?
If you have the inclination or any time to reply it would seriously be appreciated!
