It's Band Aid
Robbie, the Darkness, Bono, Will Young, Ms Dynamite, Dido.....
Tries to hard to be trendy and not hard enough to sound polished.
Pales into insignificance compared to the original
Band Aid 20, Do They Know It's Christmas - I understand that Band Aid 20 is to remind us of what went before and bring the song to a new generation. However I think they spent too much time trying to reinvent the song and not enough time ensuring that it all fitted together.
The original was amazing and the opening bars are its signature but they did away with all that made it great and tried so hard to make it trendy that they lost the point.
However, it is Band Aid and worth buying for a very worthy cause.
