Good Points

I got it for free.


Bad Points

Frequent print errors (partial printouts, then several almost blank pages). Noisy. Shakes like mad. Slow.


General Comments

Luckily I got the HP Deskjet 656c for free or someone's head would roll.

It's by far the worst printer I've ever seen. Every other time I try to print (2 page documents) it prints the 1st page to 3/4, skips the rest and then destroys 5-6 sheets of paper by printing them with strange characters.

Noise levels it emits are astonishing (in a negative way) and you better put it on something made of solid oak and preferrably nailed or bolted to a concrete wall. My ordinary computer desk dances a kind of left-to-right jig every time I try printing.

Generally I am very dissatisfied with this printer. I got it for no money, but it costs me nerves and ruined paper. As far as the economy of the printout is concerned, I will probably chuck it out of the window before I run out of ink, so I really cannot tell.

HP should be sued for allowing such a bad product on the market. Maybe I should start selling pens for 5 dollars and advertise them as printers? Instructions: copy the contents of the document from the screen to clean sheet(s) of paper. Quality may vary, but you won't be able to beat the price!
