Hardware Failures and Frequency of
Poor customer service
If your thinking of buying one of these, DO NOT.
This is one of the worst purchases I have made. The first DVD 1500 lasted all of three weeks prior to a major Firmware failure. After paying for shipping to repair the system was returned, one week later same failure.
Product was then recalled.
After choosing the 'new' 1530 instead of the 1500 I thought that would be the end of it. Shipping costs incurred I was pleased to receive the new product. Opened the box, plugged it in.....hardware failure....the disc tray refuses to open.
The 'great' customer service dept asked me to send it back again....at yet again my shipping cost!!!
So, the one thing that appealed to me the price...ended up costing myself the same cost again in shipping. I would have been much better off investing in another alternative recorder.
Will not be buying any Cyberhome products :(
