General Comments

I bought the Epson C42 Plus printer quite cheap alongside a new laptop and scanner, and thank god I hadn't paid much for it. It was retailing at around £70 but it wasn't even worth the £25 I paid.

Right from the start the quality has been questionable - and I have only had one printer before and am not exactly an expert but I could still notice it - the white lines cutting through my text, the pink tint to photographs and so on.

Not to mention the way that it will monitor your ink, tell you when it has run out (although I am sure there must be plenty more in there..) and refuses to do anything until you replace it...

What became worse is that it developed a frequent habit of just not working. Full stop. Then later that day, it will work. Completely tempramental and I have no doubt its the software to blame.

So what was it's fate? Well - to have its ribbon, ink components and innards ripped apart in fury, thats what.

I would only recommend this printer if you have no money and like a good serving of stress on a daily basis.....
