Food to die for! Plenty of special offers.
No entertainment in the hotel, but then no loud music when you are trying to have a restful evening either. Pubs in Keswick 5 mins away if you like noise.
Keswick Country House Hotel is a 3 star hotel which is old fashioned and woody as it is the old train station hotel. Rooms are clean well decorated and spacious. Staff are unfailingly helpful and polite. 5 minutes walk from the small town, 10-15 from lake Derwent which is lovely! Excellent base for touring the whole of the lakes and lower reaches of Scotland.
