Good Points

It looks good and has nice features (when they work)! Doesn't rust. You can normally pick one up quite cheaply (wonder why?).


Bad Points

Very unreliable and heavy fuel consumption. Fiat servicing is garbage. Expensive parts.


General Comments

Judge for yourself - I paid £1700 for this Fiat Brava 1.4SX family car 18 months ago. Since then I have needed - a new gearbox(£600), a new timing belt (£120), new radiator(£200), new thermostat(£30), new clutch(£180), aeriel snapped in two in carwash, fuel injector light constantly on, airbag warning light constantly on, interference to radio when you operate the screen-washers, sun-roof blind sticks, speedo failed, dash lights failed, rear wash-wipe failed, ignition barrel sometimes sticks, water in passenger footwell. I know it's an old(ish)car but is this reasonable? You will need to have a very good sense of humour and very deep pockets if you buy one of these. But I still think it is a lovely looking car - especially the silver one.
