Bad Points

Does not play all DVD's. Problems with some Disney titles. On Cinderella II the player plays about 38 minutes and then stops. I have checked several players. They all have this problem. Maybe a software issue. The player refuses to go back from playback to the root menu on some DVD's. Well, it goes to the menu, but the menu is not active, and you have to press "Stop" twice and then return to the root menu to get it activated. But then you will not be able to return to where you stopped your playback...


General Comments

The player is nice looking and easy to get to know. Picture quality is very good for the price and playback of every format is good. If Philips solves the problems with compatibility with some DVD's the rating should be very high. But in the mean time...

    I have exactly the same problem, except that it has got worse, and now won't play any DVDs at all. Wish I'd bought a cheap one!!!
