Good Points

Value for money, big engine big power gains, easy and cheap to maintain, space, V6 sound, handling


Bad Points

Tyres are expensive and hard to find, exhaust needs sorting out if after bhp since it has 3! Catalysts, radio/cd unit has minor lcd trouble, could have been easily tuned as an st200 but hasn't, not so many aftermarket goods

Ford Cougar 24v X Sports Car Review
When deciding which car to buy the first thing that I had in mind was power and looks. When faced with my budget I was dissapointed because although I could afford a supra or a skyline there would be 10 to 15 years old with endless miles on the clock. So I thought to add some water to my wine and go for something newer but less powerfull but by no means uglier. So thats how the cat came to me. Since then I had enjoyed it to the max. From street racing to cruising around Europe to accomodating my family of four. Each and every occasion the cougar made me grin. Big engine, lots of torgue and power, a beatifull roar after 4000rpm lots of space in the cabin and in the boot. Very good handling and cornering for it size, not so expensive to maintain. Very easy power gains due to its big cc engine plus for exsessive power the jaguar supercharger can be used since it fits on perfectly.
