Good Points

When it works produces very good bread.


Bad Points

Have had 2 in 9 months. The first one the silver paint on the lid started to peel off within 6 weeks of purchase and ceased to function after 10 weeks. It took 3 months to get an in warranty replacement. Its paint started peeling off the lid within 8 weeks which we decided to ignore as it still made good bread. 1 month later its heating element has packed up! DO NOT BUY THIS BREADMAKER!


General Comments

I have the following points to make regarding the Breville BR8L Anthony Worrell Thompson breadmaker. Good points: When working produces excellent bread both white and wholemeal bread. We haven't tried the gluten free recipes.
Bad points: Breville service is terrible
The silver paint work on the lid peels off making it look very unsightly.
Our first one ceased to function altogether after less than 3 months. The in warranty replacement which tooks 3 months to get started to shed paint within 8 weeks. The heating element has ceased to function within 12 weeks and we are still waiting on a response from Breville and Argos who we bought the original from.
In desparation have put a note on Anthony Worral Thompson's own website!
