General Comments

The purchase of the LG Flatron F700B is my second foray into LG Electronics. In fact both of my LG purchases were made on the same day when I bought the F700B monitor and a Flatron 100hz 76cm TV. Well the TV lasted a day before I started having contrast problems where the screen would go bright white and then completely black. If I give the TV a little tap then the picture magically re-appears. For the past three months I've been thinking 'well at least the monitor works!'. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. The monitor is now having similar contrast/brightness problems where the picture flickers from dull to bright and finally ends up with a green hue, as if looking through green coloured glasses! Again, a little tap seems to put it right, but not always! Degaussing doesn't work in case you're thinking. The problem exists in BIOS as well so it isn't a driver problem. I dont have any strong magnetic fields close to the monitor. It's definately a problem with the electrics and I will be taking it back to my place of purchase. Lesson learnt, don't buy LG!!!
