General Comments

I have owned two of these Sony D-FJ61 Discmans, I bought a second because i loved the first one so much. I had a Panasonic Shockwave with MP3, but it wasn't loud enough. It is a beautiful looking, beautiful sounding, and a durable piece of equipment. I like my music loud and this cd player delivers. I got just what i wanted: people complaining my music was too loud. I don't care what they say though. It has a simple, basic design, which i like. At first, I couldnt find how to turn on the volume limiter (AVLS, to stop me blasting in class), but I found the switch under the battery lid. Also, there's the reason I had to buy a new one: the headphone jack, like all sony audio players, disconnects from the mainboard and the discman plays through one ear only. Its happened on my second one as well, but I bought a mono adapter for my headphones, so the same sound comes out of both speakers: much less annoying. Other than that, I love it to death, and I use it a lot. I use it about 3 hours a day, and I havent replaced the batteries in three weeks. It's still on three bars too. I highly recommend it.
PS-The radio is a lifesaver on bad bus rides with low batteries(only had that scenario once, but never again)
