Just brought one and I have had no problems getting it to play VCD and SVCD without having to use any hacks. Obviously the sound is not the greatest but for £70 it does not get any better. I was going to buy one for about £140 in order for it to play VCD and SVCD until I saw this one. Overall very pleased and would recommend it to anyone.
