Torremolinos, Beach Club Hotel Review

None! Except the room maids were brilliant

All inclusive hotel with bad food/drink. The management and cleanliness in all areas, so high risk of being ill whilst there. Just like we were!!

We have just returned from Torremolinos Beach Club Hotel and all 7 of us were extremely poorly with food poisoning, as were scores of others whilst we were there and even before we arrived. We still have symptoms!
We are awaiting test results from the GP for the cause of the poisoning. I would be interested if anyone else has been to this hotel recently and been ill with severe stomach upsets to contact me on -

I'm trying to form a group to pressure the tour operators especially Thomson's to ban this hotel from there brochures just like cosmos did. It's a not a safe place to holiday. I wait to hear from you!!!! No one should go through what we did and next time it could be too late for a child or elderly person-certainly would not recommend to any friends.

  Both my wife and I had sickness and diarrhoea, when we visited in Nov 04. First it was my wife, then me. Many others we talked to said the same. I think there is a problem with the hygine in this hotel and someone must sort this out once and for all. I dont know if the problem is food related, but they are holding back on advice to guests at welcome meetings.

  Sorry to hear that you were also ill, it really is a horrible illness to have and I agree, there certainly is a problem somewhere within this hotel. I have heard back from countless people via the net who have experienced exactly the same symptoms as our party of 7 had. and all within the last 3 months. I know though that this has been going on for the past 2 years.

  I KNOW THERE has been over 1000 cases against this hotel since 2002. there was a piece in the daily mirror dated 20/12/04 you can view this online about a massive amount of people suing for compensation. I am interested to hear from anyone even if it is to give a statement, if this saves other people being sick it must be worth it. contact me please.

  Just to let you know that I have received 2 letters form Thomson's and they say unless I can provide medical proof that it was bactrial (food/drink) related I have no case, as it must be a viral infection transmitted between guests !!

  We have just returned from beach club in January, before we went I checked holiday results and found that many people complained about stomach upsets, I was therefore very wary when we were allocated the beach club but I have to say much of the comments were a bit unjustified as we found that the hotel was very good about hygiene the restaurant was very clean and everybody had to clean their hands with wipes every time you entered. All drinks were served out of plastic glasses which presumably were binned after use all toilets had notices asking you to wash your hands the rooms were cleaned everyday with clean towels and bed linen I would therefore not blame the hotel but peoples own hygiene regime. I would not have any reservations about going back to the beach club as the evening entertainment was excellent they even have 2 games of bingo every night before the main show and all the staff are very pleasant.

  I went for 28 days and I did not experience any of this. I appriciate what your family has been through but it doesnt cause for this action.
