Terrible Customer service
Bad management
Institutional inefficiency
We have had a business bank account with Barclays for five years, initially they were adequate, over time they went drastically down hill. We usually turn good profit and expect a level of service to match. Over THE LAST YEAR ALONE they have: lost £10,000 of our money, failed to set up internet banking despite 5 requests to their customer services line, failed to send us debit cards (THAT THEY OFFERED US!) despite two follow up calls; put payments to creditors through two or three times and then wouldn't refund the money until they 'investigate'; fail repeatedly to return calls; fail to record complaints and therefore don't resolve the problems; issue erroneous advice and information - the list goes on and on. NEVER bank with Barclays - you'll regret it.
