Good Points

Fantastic writing style, characterisation, plot, and emotional atmosphere. Each book in the trilogy surpasses the previous one. The language makes it more accessible than older novels such as LOTR.

Bad Points

Slow to start in the beginning.

General Comments

The farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb is absolutely mind-blowing. If it weren't for LOTR, this trilogy would by far be my all-time favourite piece of fiction. I won't go into details, other than to say that upon finishing the trilogy I was virtually in tears because I couldn't believe it was all over. Very powerful and moving and realistic - I've never read anything like this.
